I know many of you know how hard it is to get the "perfect" picture for a Christmas card. Well, there never is a perfect one, and after about the 95th time, you have yelled at the kids, threatened to spank them, tell them to look at you, not to look at you, etc. One word EXHAUSTING! Well, I finally got one that I could live with, but not without some blood, sweat and TEARS (from me and them)!

Feliz Navidad!
Hazel had her Christmas program at school on December 12th- the Friday that school got out for Christmas break. Before the program, her class had a party with cookies, juice, candy, and lots of other goodies. These are always fun for the kids. This year since Hazel is in 4k, she and the other 4K students sang 2 songs, one of which is now her favorite Christmas song, Feliz Navidad.
In 4k, she goes to Spanish class once a week with Professor Torres. SHE LOVES IT. She tells me every Monday when I pick her up, all the words she learned for the day. I got the children singing on video, but can't figure out how to upload it, so here are some pictures from the program.

Black Friday
Yes I know it's crazy, but I LOVE shopping on Black Friday. I was actually finished shopping before this day, but I wanted to go anyway. Somehow, I still managed to spend way too much money and bought the girls more things that they don't need; however, I DID NOT buy as much as Katie. Katie and I met Trena & Missy at Toys R Us at about 4:45 am. We had such a great time. We seriously had to go home early, because the van would hold nothing else! Can't wait til next year!
Thanksgiving Eve
The night before Thanksgiving we and several friends packed up the cars and headed to the woods. We went to one of Ken's friends hunting cabin by the river and it was fun. Cold, but fun. We got there with enough daylight where the kids could fish a little off the dock. Then we built a fire and let the kids roast hotdogs while the adults cooked up Low Country Boil. It was so yummy, as always. We had so much fun hanging out with everyone this special time of year. At the end of the night, the kids (and several adults) roasted marshmallows and made smores. Yum!

Happy Birthday Hazel!
I am so in denial that my little Hazel is 5 already. Where did the time go? She has been a complete joy to me and everyday is something new. She is so smart and rational that it blows me away. What better to celebrate her birthday with than a blow-out party. She invited 10 friends and we all went to Wink to paint pottery and had a great time. The pieces they painted were so cute! After Wink, we all headed to Chuck E. Cheese for some more fun. All of these were fun, but I think the best part was the stretch Hummer limo ride. Yep, that's right, all these little girls rode in style and the limo driver was the best I've seen- Thanks Big Pa (my Daddy) for being the Chauffeur. I'm sure she won't forget this birthday. Thanks everyone who shared this special time with us.
The limo arrives at our house at 2:00
