Divas in the making

Most of you know how much Hazel LOVES dressing up and has since the age of 2! Club Libby Lu at Broadway is closing at the end of this month and offering 50% off services, so some friends and I took our girls for a makeover. We started out at Libby Lu where Hazel, Caitlyn and Lucy became Divas. Sassy Divas that is- check below for Hazel's "sassy" pose. The girls got to choose a hairstyle, makeup, nails and FUN accessories to go with their new look. They loved every minute of it! I think Hazel liked it almost as much as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney World- imagine that...spending $190 at Disney World and only $25.00 at Libby Lu for pretty much the same thing! After makeovers, we shopped a little, and I found some awesome Dansko clogs for Hazel for next winter for only $29.00!!! Then we all enjoyed supper at "Japanese fire," which is always a treat.

Caitlyn waits patiently for her turn

Snow in Florence?

Yes!!!!! It actually snowed in Florence and stuck for 2 days! Can you believe it? Hazel has been wishing for snow for quite sometime and finally it came! She had 3 whole days out of school in a row- a little Winter vacation. So glad that's over! She and Little E had so much fun playing, but not for too long....These kids are definitely a product of their parents...they don't like the cold, not at all! So one day of snow was more than enough and now Wake up! Spring where are you? Come on Spring, let's have some fun!

Eliza didn't know what to do with the snow, but she LOVED it

15 month stats

Eliza is growing.....she went to Dr. Elder for her 15 month checkup and everything was great! She eats any kind of food you give and LOVES fruit and veggies....wonder how long that will last? She loves books and says about 10-12 words with her favorite being "Moma" I can't count how many times a day I hear this word, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Her torticollis is completely healed and she loves her big sister, well, sometimes.
Weight: 23 lbs
Height: 31 1/2 inches
She is about 50th percentile in both weight and height, so "average" but I still think she's a little better than average! :)

Happy Birthday Caitlyn!

One of Hazel's best friends, Caitlyn, turned 6 and had a "pink ballerina" party. All the little girls wore their leotards, tights, and ballet shoes. They had cake and ice cream of course and made ballet bags and picture frames. All the girls also got their hair and make-up done. They LOVED this part of the party...wonder why? Was it because the master make-up artist Mrs. Sandy was making the girls look gorgeous? Next Ms. Jamison, one of Caityln's and Hazel's babysitters gave a ballet lesson. The girls had a great time! Mrs. Katie always throws the best parties!

Hazel was so upset with me by this point. It was 2:00 in the afternoon and I had not fed them any lunch yet....she kept telling all the moms at the party that she was so hungry
Happy Birthday Caitlyn! A delicious cookie cake yum!

Party like it's 2009!

Hope everyone is enjoying their New Year so far. This year Steve and I along with 5 other couples hosted a New Year's party at the ESAB cabin and it was so much fun. We got to hang out with some great friends and good food. Daddy BBQ'd a hog and make chicken bog. Dad is such a great cook! Thanks Daddy for all your hard work. The food was AWESOME! The band wasn't bad either. It was also one of our friend's 40th birthday, so we got to have a double party! Steve A. got roasted for turning 40! I must admit, that IS pretty old!

Christmas morning...Well, not really

Since we were in Disney World Christmas morning, we got to see what Santa left at our house when we returned Saturday afternoon. The girls had a great nap during the long ride home and they were ready to open presents, and more presents and a little more. They got way too much this year as always, but don't they all?

Since Jesus got three gifts from the Wise Men, that's how many gifts Santa brings to us. Of course, they get more gifts, but those are from Mommy and Daddy. Hazel's three gifts she asked for were: Baby Alive ( a baby that really pees and poops) I know.....she already has one of those....Little E, Littlest Pet Shop play set, and a puppy with a stroller. She was so excited to get all these things. Eliza got a Zebra Bounce & Play, a push buggy car (that she LOVES) and some shelves for her room.

We are all having fun with our "toys" and I'm sure ya'll are too. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
This is when Hazel first walked in the house when we pulled into the driveway

Daddy enjoyed his presents!

A Magical Christmas

Nana & Papa decided to do something very non-traditional this year and take us and Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Lindsay to Disney World for Christmas. I have NEVER been away from home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and I was a little emotional about it, but we had a blast! We started early Monday morning Christmas week and stayed until Saturday. I was a little worried about how Eliza would do, but she was perfect! The long ride there and back, the long lines to ride the rides, the MASSES of people ( think we were the only Americans there!), the late nights on the crowded monorails and all the eating on the go....she endured it all! She loved all the rides we took her own and loved the parades and characters. She wasn't scared of any of them!
Hazel had already been about 18 months ago, when I was pregnant with Eliza. There were some rides that she wanted to ride then, but she wasn't tall enough. Not this time, she grew enough to ride almost everything! She got to to Bippidi Bobbidi Boutique again this time and she wanted to me Princess Jasmine. She even got hair extensions!
We enjoyed every single one of the parks and most of all had quality family time. And good food, and more food and food and....yep, food. Good thing I walked it all off that week!
Leaving Florence at 6:00 am! Breakfast to go, please
Eliza kept herself entertained in the car
The first night we were there, it was COLD! I had to buy blankets for the girls. None of us was prepared for the cold weather.

A picture inside "It's a Small World" This was Eliza'a favorite ride. She had so much to look at.

There were many late nights on the monorail going back to the hotel.
