"P" Day

Today was "P" Day at Hazel's school and she has been excited about it all week. All 3K students got to wear their PJ's to school. And that's not all- they watched the movie "Happy Feet", a movie about peguins and they ate popcorn and drank Pepsi. She woke up this morning and said "I don't have to get dressed, because it's 'P' Day!"

Hazel puts her bath robe on over her PJ's because it's cold outside.

In the car on the way to school- still half asleep

Conner and Eliza

While we were in Columbia over the weekend, we got to visit with some family that we don't get to see very often. Jean and Ernie have a precious little boy named Conner that is 17 days older than Eliza, but you would never know that by looking at them. Conner is a big boy and every single inch of him is so sweet! I hope they can grow up knowing one another! Can't wait to see ya'll again.

Thanks Uncle Bucky, Auntie Teague, Guthrie and Avery for letting us barge in on you Sunday afternoon, it was so good to see you.

"I Can Do That!" (with rollers in my hair)

This past weekend we went to Columbia with Nana and Papa to a wedding. I wanted Hazel to look pretty for the wedding, so I decided to sponge roll her hair that afternoon. Hazel loved having her hair in rollers, she was so excited that her hair was going to be curly like her friend's, Anna Grace.

Nana bought a new game for us to play at the hotel before we had to get ready for the wedding. It was "Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat, I Can Do That" where you had to pick cards and they tell you funny stuff to do. Nana and Papa had a ball playing the game with Hazel and she won every single time even with rollers in her hair.

Little Moma

Hazel LOVES being a big sister or a better way to put it is "Little Moma." She helps me out so much with Eliza without even being asked. Here are a few pictures of Hazel caring for Eliza.

Don't cry Eliza, Big Sister will feed you (because Moma is trying to clean up the house)

Books are fun!

Let's get you cleaned up for bed

Good Night, Eliza! Big Sister loves you!

Ice Cream, Ice Cream! We all scream for Ice Cream

This morning, I went with Hazel's 3K class on a field trip to Cold Stone Creamery. The kids got to "make" their own ice cream using the cold stone and they added their own ingredients. Hazel chose chocolate ice cream and she added white chocolate chips. Needless to say, Hazel likes chocolate (just like her Mommy.) All the kids were well behaved and they had such a good time. I don't know how smart it is to serve ice cream to 3 and 4 year olds at 10:00 in the morning, but it worked out fine.

3 months old and lovin' it

Well, Eliza is 3 months and 6 days old today. I can't believe it. It seems like I was just pregnant. She is growing so much every day and Hazel LOVES showing her little sister how to work her new toys. These are pictures of Eliza in the exersaucer and Hazel is showing her all the bells and whistles.

Look Eliza the seat turns around and around!

Eliza, do you like your new toy?

FunDayGo

Saturday night Hazel and I went to Caitlyn's 5th birthday party at a new place in town called FunDayGo. FunDayGo is a huge warehouse type building with LOTS of inflatable rides. The kids had a great time, while the adults sat around and talked. Even some of the dads got on the inflatables too, but the staff was worried that the guys would DEflate them, so their fun was short lived.

Hazel really loved sliding down the biggest slide

Hazel needs to take break. Having fun is such hard work.

Big Pa

Both Hazel and Eliza LOVE my dad "Big Pa" is what Hazel calls him. He comes over to our house about once a week and we try to go over there once during the week. He loves having us around because he gets very lonely sometimes since Moma died last January. Sometimes Hazel will go spend the night with Big Pa, but he says Eliza will have to get a little older before she spends the night.

Hazel likes riding in Big Pa's truck and playing with Fletcher, the dog. She also likes going to Big Pa's because "he lets me have candy and chips whenever I want" Hazel tells me.

Eliza can't wait to spend the night with Big Pa (and neither can I!)
Big Pa, We love you!

Happy Baby

Here is a picture of Eliza on New Year's Day. She has a great smile and she brings so much joy to our lives. Her smile turns my bad day into a great day. She is a GREAT baby. Nothing like Hazel. Hazel was definitely my "difficult baby" In fact, I think Hazel cried nonstop the first 3-4 months of her life. Eliza is so good that it makes me want to go ahead and try for a little boy NOW! Well, maybe in a few months.

Got Milk?

This morning Hazel wanted cereal for breakfast. I tried to talk her into grits or oatmeal because it was so cold outside and because we had no milk. Hazel did not want the oatmeal or grits, she wanted cheerios. "But Hazel we don't have any milk" I told her. "Just pump me some like you do for Eliza!" Hazel quickly replied. How do you tell a 4 year old that Mommy's milk is not for cereal and mixing with chocolate nesquik mix? I don't think we'll run out of milk (skim milk, that is) in our house again.
